At The Mimistry, we don’t just think using good ingredients is a nice extra, it is the most important part of what we do! Every cake, tart and cookie we make, starts with ingredients that are chosen with care. We want everything to taste amazing and be better for you.

What Makes Ingredients “Good”?

There’s a big difference between regular ingredients and the high-quality ones we use. We stick to whole foods that are as close to their natural state as possible and organic as often as possible. Plus they are always free from nasty additives. Think almond flour, organic coconut oil, organic cacao and coconut syrup. These are packed with nutrients like vitamins and minerals and they also taste divine like our Chocolate Hazelnut Ganache cake.

Why Natural Ingredients Are Better for You

Using natural ingredients means you get more than just a nice flavour, you also get real health benefits. For example, we use coconut sugar instead of regular white sugar. It’s gentler on your blood sugar and won’t give you that sugar crash later.

Almond flour is another favourite of ours. It’s full of good fats, protein, and fibre, so it keeps you feeling full and helps support heart health. It’s a great alternative to wheat flour, especially if you’re trying to avoid gluten.

Whenever we can, we go for organic ingredients. They’re grown without harsh chemicals, so they’re better for your body and the planet. One of our favourites is our Devilicious Tart, full of organic cacao powder which is super rich in flavour and full of good stuff like antioxidants and magnesium.

We also love using whole foods like natural sweeteners, unrefined oils, and real fruit. These aren’t just “cleaner” options, they also give your body more of what it actually needs.
